I AM delighted to be here today to formally commission the BaiyekuRural Transportation Jetty provided by the State Government through the Ministry of Rural Development and Infrastructure.You will recall that the inauguration of the Transition Work Group was the first matter I embarked upon when I became Governor-elect.The Group had the task to submit to the incoming administration a report on the socio-economic reforms necessary for the transformation of the State into a modern economy.

On receipt of the Report, several Committees were set up to further look into the various recommendations with a view to harmonizing all the issues thus making the administration of the recommendations easier for government to accomplish.

Today, I am proud to inform you all that we have remained faithful in the execution of all the recommendations aimed at making the implementation of all the people-oriented programmes of our great Party, the Alliance for Democracy (AD) an easy task.
